The Secretary-General of the Organization of African Unity, Dr. Salim Ahmed Salim, has officially informed the Aksum Obelisk Return Committee that he fully supports the committee's demand for the immediate return of the looted stele.
Dr. Salim emphasized that the obelisk's immediate return was in the best interests of the Ethiopian and Italian people, as well as in the interests of international justice.
